Eligibility Certificate:
Applicants from outside India (Gulf and other countries) have to compulsorily produce
the Eligibility Certificate from the Pre-University Board without which their admission will not be approved by
the PU Board.Applicants from within India (other than Karnataka State Syllabus, SSLC) should pay, Rs.600/-
as eligibility fee at the College Office and need not produce the Eligibility Certificate.
Sports Quota:
Students who have represented the State or the Country in Sports & Games will have special
preference for seats during admission.
When and how to apply for seat?
Application forms are made available for purchase in the college office
students who desire to apply for a seat in the Two Year PUC must purchase the application form and the
prospectus, which contains all the instructional details about the course and the for procedure for admission.*
Application forms should be filled in, complete with regard to all the information asked for, in the candidate’s
own handwriting.* Application form should be registered at the College office and the receipt should be
obtained by the due date.* Original documents have to be submitted to the office when the documents are
received from the Board. Please keep ready few Xerox copies of the original documents.* Students who come
from economically poor backgrounds and would like to avail scholarships are required to meet the Manager.
Procedures to be Followed For Applying1.
Application must be filled and registered in the college office as
soon as the SSLC results are declared. (Incomplete application will be considered disqualified).2. Students need
not wait for the original Marks Card to apply for admission; Falsification of marks will lead to dismissal with
forfeiture of fees.3. Students of ICSE/CBSE board, NRI’s /Other states also must apply as soon as their results
are declared with a Provisional Marks Card without waiting for the Original Marks Card. (See the procedure in
the College notice board).Please Note :1. Admission to Don Bosco P.U. College can be secured only by
merit.2. We have no agents or middlemen acting on our behalf. Applicants are advised to be on guard against
unscrupulous persons promising seats this college for monetary considerations.3. We do not accept donations or
capitation fees of any kind in connection with admission.Provisionally selected candidates are not entitled to
admission. Actual admissions are made by the Principal after personal interview, for which both the parents
with the candidates must be present.Those who are called for the interview should bring along with them :
1) The intimation slip 2) Attested copies of the marks card 3) Conduct certificate
4) Three passport size photographs.The admitted students should pay the fees immediately, failing which, they
will lose their admission. Selected candidates who do not pay the fees or those after paying the fees do not
attend classes for five consecutive days without intimation, willforfeit their seats.
Duration
The duration of the course is two academic years, which includes Three months of internship programme in the
nearby higher primary schools. A student shall be considered to have completed the course, if he or she has
attended not less than 80% of the number of working periods in each of the subjects comprising the course
during the said years and if his or her conduct and progress have been satisfactory. Students who fail to
complete the course in the manner stated above shall not be allowed to write their exams.
